Atlanta Children's Shelter Hosts Annual Holiday House Event

Staff Report

Friday, November 20th, 2020

The Atlanta Children's Shelter (ACS) is making it the most wonderful time of the year for hundreds of children facing homelessness this holiday season. Unlike the traditional event, there will be no toy drive this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, donors signed up to adopt a family, and once matched they received the family's Amazon wish list to purchase and ship gifts to the family.

"We do our best each holiday season to bring joy and love to struggling families in Atlanta," says Sandra Holiday, ACS Executive Director. "Our goal is to bring toys and smiles to 500 children who are homeless or living in poverty in Atlanta, which is especially needed during this pandemic. We are grateful for the amazing community support that helps make these families' holiday wishes come true!"

This year's Holiday House wouldn't be possible without generous sponsorships from KBP Foods (Winter Wonderland Sponsorship), Shift Atlanta (Santa's Workshop Sponsorship), and LeasePlan (Silver Bells Sponsorship).

Please join the Atlanta Children's Shelter in spreading joy and cheer this Christmas. Even though all our families have been adopted, we still need your help! If you want to make a donation and help make the season bright for families facing homelessness in Metro Atlanta, text HOLIDAYHOUSE to 44-321 today.
