Locally owned Intown Focus Realty, an established leader in real estate for Atlanta’s Tri-Cities, announces record-breaking results for 2020, with more than $30 million in closed and pending sales. The Georgia Multiple Listing Service (GAMLS) ranks the firm among the top three real estate agencies serving East Point, Historic College Park and Hapeville.

“Intown Focus Realty’s success is built not just on the hard work of our agents, but also on the support of clients, neighbors and friends who value our relationships, our work ethic, and our support of the community,” said Founder and Qualifying & Managing Broker Joan Shorter. “As a locally owned firm, we appreciate those who hire and refer our Realtors time and again. You drive our success and are at the heart of our business.”

According to GAMLS, Intown Focus Realty was second in both volume and number of homes sold for East Point and third for both Historic College Park and Hapeville. The achievement is especially notable for a hometown firm that competes with national, corporate-owned and franchised chains.

Realtor Karen Corbin led Intown Focus Realty’s team of 10 agents with more than $12 million of sales in 2020. Corbin is a Lifetime Member and Phoenix Level Member of the Atlanta Top Producers Club. The GAMLS ranked her first in number of homes sold and fourth in volume for Historic College Park. She ranked fifth for Area 31, a GAMLS designation for part of the South Atlanta region.

Corbin’s production level was followed by that of Joel Tucker Todd, who sold more than $6 million in homes and properties last year. GAMLS ranked him first in both volume and number of homes sold in East Point and in Area 31. A Realtor since 2014, Todd is a Lifetime Member of the Atlanta Top Producers Club.

Erin McGahey boosted Intown Focus Realty’s success with $4 million in sales. Her achievements earned her a spot in the Atlanta Top Producers Club for the first time in 2020.

Intown Focus Realty marks its 10th anniversary as a brokerage in 2021. The group was a successful team before the real estate crash of 2007, and they continued supporting homeowners through the subsequent fallout. As the markets recovered in 2010, Shorter obtained her Broker’s license, establishing the brokerage the next year. While focused on the Tri-Cities area currently, the Intown Focus team works and makes referrals throughout the Atlanta region. The firm is already on pace for another record-breaking year in 2021, with more than $5 million in its pipeline of sold, pending and coming soon clients.
