Monday, February 8th, 2021

The DeKalb Chamber of Commerce and top DeKalb County education and workforce development leaders will host the inaugural State of Education and Workforce Development on Thursday, February 11.

The State of Education and Workforce Development sponsored by Publix Supermarkets, Inc., Kaiser Permanente, Georgia United Credit Union, and the DeKalb Chamber Foundation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. More than 100 DeKalb Chamber members, businesses leaders, elected officials, students, parents, educators, and other members of the community will interact virtually to hear fascinating insights into how DeKalb County schools, higher education institutions, workforce development, and career centers, and other organizations have responded to the pandemic and the future of their work.

“The pandemic has created a multitude of challenges for our education and workforce development partners. They have all had to pivot and adjust to new realities. During this event we will hear about what they have done and what else we can do collectively to ensure DeKalb County comes out of this better and stronger” said Elaine Armstrong, Vice President of Marketing, Goodwill of North Georgia and Chair of the Education and Workforce Development Committee for the DeKalb Chamber. “Education and workforce development are key pillars of the Chamber. Our businesses and communities thrive when we have strong and vibrant educational institutions and the necessary organization and programs to support our workforce.”

The State of Education and Workforce Development is open to the public. Regular admission is $10. VIP tickets of $25 are available as well and include the price of admission, a $10 Door Dash gift card, and a discount code for 15% off the Chamber’s Annual Meeting.
