Fayette County Development Authority Promotes Megan Baker to President

The Fayette County Development Authority (FCDA) announced that Megan Baker, FCDA’s Vice President, has been promoted to the position of President, effective March 1, 2021.
As President, Baker will be responsible for FCDA operations, implementing the annual program of work, and outreach to state and community partners. Current President & CEO Joan Young will transition to Chief Strategy Officer, guiding FCDA’s long-term economic development and business strategy.
“We are delighted to promote Megan to the position of President,” said FCDA Chairman Darryl Hicks. “She has made significant contributions to the development authority including overseeing several industry expansions and managing top tier state projects. Her new role, along with Joan’s transition to Chief Strategy Officer, will further strengthen FCDA’s ability to attract companies to the county and set the stage for long-term economic development success.”
