Donald L. Hollowell was a Georgian civil rights attorney during the Civil Rights movement. He successfully sued to integrate Atlanta's public schools, Georgia colleges, universities, and public transit. His legal victory won the release of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. from the Reidsville State Prison. Hollowell is best remembered for his instrumental role in winning the desegregation of the University of Georgia in 1961. He is the subject of a University of Georgia documentary film, Donald L. Hollowell: Foot Soldier for Equal Justice.
Imhotep is an award-winning, professional storyteller since 1985. He has shared stories in schools, libraries, museums, and throughout Metro-Atlanta and the southeast.

He has served as Storyteller-in-Residence at the Wren’s Nest, the historic home of Joel Chandler Harris, and as a touring and resident puppeteer at the Center for Puppetry Arts.

Since 2014, he has portrayed abolitionist Frederick Douglass for the Fulton County School’s third and fourth graders. His repertoire of historical characters includes Louis Armstrong, James Weldon Johnson, and Primus E. King.
