Moore Colson Partner Marcia Nally Graduates from CREW Atlanta Leadership Class

Tuesday, August 31st, 2021

Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, announced partner Marcia Nally, CPA, has graduated from the Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Atlanta leadership class. CREW Atlanta is an organization aimed at fostering and supporting women in the Atlanta commercial real estate industry, providing networking opportunities, community involvement events and access to resources to further grow critical, industry-focused skills.

Nally was selected to join CREW Atlanta’s leadership program in 2020. The program is a bi-annual class made up of a small number of CREW members chosen through a selective nomination and application process. The class runs for one year and allows participants the chance to take part in monthly, whole-day sessions based on a targeted theme. Industry leaders are brought in to speak to the class and engage the members in topics meant to highlight key issues affecting personal and professional development.

On August 10, 2021, Nally graduated from the 2020/2021 CREW Atlanta leadership class alongside 30 additional members in a ceremony hosted by the organization. The class theme was 20/20 vision – challenging members to reflect on the past, understand the present and visualize the future, with the goal of bringing individual member’s professional lives into full focus and scripting the member’s next chapters. In the context of COVID, the theme was especially poignant, as the 2020 class became the first since the inception of the program to cross into a second year. Despite numerous setbacks, hurdles and delays, the class came together to persevere and used the year’s struggles to build stronger bonds and fuel further introspection about what members could do to positively impact their community.

Nally has been an active member of CREW Atlanta since 2017. She joined the CREW Programs Committee shortly after becoming a member and has remained involved with the brainstorming, planning and execution of programs over the last 4 years. Nally also serves as one of the co-chairs of the CREW Finance and Governance Committee, a role she has held since 2020.

“CREW leadership was so much more than I could have imagined,” noted Nally. “Although the pandemic created obstacles for our class, the relationships that I made will last a lifetime. It was truly an honor and privilege to graduate from this prestigious program and I am thankful to have been a part of this amazing group of people. I will continue using the leadership skills I developed throughout the program to serve my team and clients at Moore Colson.”

Nally joined Moore Colson in 2015 as a tax senior manager with extensive experience working with real estate partnerships, developers and high-net-worth individuals. She was promoted to tax director in 2018 and to partner in 2021. At Moore Colson, Nally primarily focuses on tax compliance and planning services for closely-held businesses and their owners in the real estate industry. She also works with clients in the franchise, manufacturing and professional services industries.

Nally holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from The University of Alabama. In addition to being a member of CREW Atlanta, Nally is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
