Georgia Power Presents Donation to Cherokee Family Violence Center this Hispanic Heritage Month

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and to serve our local communities, Georgia Power presented a $1,000 surprise donation to the Cherokee Family Violence Center (CFVC)’s Multicultural Program this week. The donation will support programs including the state’s Spanish domestic violence hotline, in-person support groups, life skills lessons and leadership workshops to assist immigrant domestic violence victims.
Additionally, Georgia Power Area Manager Jeff Butterworth joined Canton Mayor Bill Grant to present a Hispanic Heritage Month proclamation to Norma Mendoza, CFVC Multicultural Program Director.
