Antico to Open Smaller, More Intimate Concept at the Upcoming Hugh Howell Marketplace in Tucker

Atlanta-based real estate investment and development firm Branch Properties today announces several new restaurants and service providers have signed on to open at the Publix Super Markets-anchored Hugh Howell Marketplace in Tucker, Georgia. Set to deliver next month, the 89,510-square-foot development will feature a new concept from famed Atlanta-based pizza restaurant Antico Pizza Napoletana and American restaurant chain First Watch, among others.

“As the city of Tucker’s growth story continues to evolve, our team is looking forward to delivering a fresh mix of offerings that cater to the community,” said Branch Partner Brett Horowitz. “After breaking ground on Hugh Howell Marketplace less than a year ago, we have concentrated on identifying restaurants and service-oriented concepts that would seamlessly round out the shopping center, and we have been blown away by the steady leasing success prior to turning over spaces to tenants.”

The newest concept by owner and founder Giovanni Di Palma, Antico Sporto will bring a smaller scale take on the beloved Antico pizzeria to Hugh Howell Marketplace. Marking the concept’s first location and the fourth location for the Antico brand, the more intimate style restaurant will occupy a 2,400-square-foot space, featuring outdoor seating for guests to enjoy open-air dining. Antico Sporto will offer customer-favorite Neapolitan-style pizzas, baked in the same traditional Acunto Napoli oven from Naples as in the original restaurant.

“Antico is a staple in the Atlanta restaurant scene, and we are pleased to tap into the area’s desire for outdoor dining and provide Tucker with an exceptional space to gather over high-quality pizza,” said Horowitz.

Serving the surrounding Tucker community and adjacent Smoke Rise neighborhood, the growing lineup of restaurants will also include First Watch, a national restaurant chain specializing in breakfast, brunch and lunch, which will occupy a 4,200-square-foot space at the property. Jersey Mike’s Subs, an American sub sandwich chain, and Buffalo Wild Wings “GO,” a smaller format of the national chain designed specifically for takeout and delivery, are also among the restaurants set to open at the development. Service and healthcare-oriented tenants will include ATI Physical Therapy; The Joint Chiropractic; Scenthound dog grooming and Piedmont Urgent Care. Branch has also submitted a request to rezone a portion of the land, the first step in bringing gusto!, a local fast-casual restaurant specializing in fresh bowls and wraps, to the shopping center as well.

In addition to Hugh Howell Marketplace, Branch is currently developing five other Publix-anchored shopping centers across the Southeast, including Perimeter Marketplace in Dunwoody, Ga.; Merganser Commons at Dogwood Estates in Milton, Fla.; Moncks Corner Marketplace in Moncks Corner, S.C.; The Market at Hays Farm in Huntsville, Ala.; and Summerhill Station in Southwest Atlanta, Ga.
