Kim Blythe has been named senior vice president of human resources for the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She will continue her current responsibilities in her new role.

Blythe joined the Atlanta Fed in 1996 as a compensation analyst and has been a member of the human resources team throughout her Fed career. She was promoted to compensation manager in 2002 and earned a promotion to business liaison four years later. In 2011, she was named assistant vice president, human resources. In that role, she led talent management functions.

Since assuming her role as vice president in 2018, Kim has worked to create a more transparent, collaborative, and inclusive human resources function. During her tenure, the department has launched and enhanced numerous initiatives to drive the Atlanta Fed's talent, workforce, and organizational development efforts.

Blythe has a bachelor's degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and has completed executive development programs at the University of Pennsylvania and Stanford University. She also maintains her designation as a certified compensation professional.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta serves the Sixth Federal Reserve District, which encompasses Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and sections of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee. As part of the nation's central banking system, the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta participates in setting national monetary policy, supervises numerous commercial banks, and provides a variety of financial services to depository institutions and the US government.
