“The Atlanta area is a great location for Whataburger, and we couldn’t be more pleased to make our entry into the community with our Kennesaw restaurant expected to open this fall,” said Market Leader Jon Barideaux. “We’ve had the good fortune of meeting quite a few of our new neighbors already, and we’ve already felt every bit of their hospitality.”
A series of local events will be held to celebrate the new restaurants, beginning with the Kennesaw groundbreaking on Wednesday, April 6, with the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce.
Along with the new restaurants, Whataburger will bring exciting career opportunities to the community. It plans to hire 180 employees at its first restaurant in Kennesaw. Hiring for an Operating Partner and Managers is ongoing. Team Leader and Team Member hiring is set to begin this summer. Whataburger plans to employ more than 1,400 at area restaurants by year-end 2023.
“At Whataburger, we believe a great customer experience starts with an exceptional employee experience, which is why we value our teams so much and dedicate time to teach them the skills they need. Even without restaurant experience, leaders can succeed at Whataburger with the right attitude and leadership ability,” said Barideaux. “Our local restaurant teams are the heart and soul of our brand. It’s also why we call employees Family Members. We know there are a lot of wonderful people in this community, and we encourage them to apply.”
