Atlanta-based Industrial Real Estate Firm Breaks Ground on Ninth Spec Facility at Gillem Logistics Center

Robinson Weeks has broken ground on Gillem 700, the firm's newest speculative distribution facility at Gillem Logistics Center (GLC) in Forest Park, Georgia, just south of Atlanta. The facility comes on the heels of two other new developments at GLC, Gillem 1100 and 1200, which launched construction last summer. Gillem 700 is set to deliver in March 2023.
Spanning 1,168 acres and featuring more than 8 million square feet of industrial space, GLC is home to many global businesses including Kroger, HD Supply and Cummins Inc. These latest facilities illustrate the success of Robinson Weeks' efforts to transform the former Fort Gillem Army Base into a state-of-the-art distribution center along one of Atlanta's busiest transportation corridors. Despite economic headwinds, GLC continues to see strong leasing activity.
