City of Refuge received a $50,000 grant from The Primerica Foundation at Primerica’s 2022 International Convention, the largest corporate meeting in Atlanta. As Primerica’s 2022 Convention Charitable Recipient, City of Refuge will use the grant to help underserved and low-to-moderate income families and individuals achieve self-sufficiency, a central focus of both organizations.

“We are very grateful to Primerica and its Foundation for this incredibly generous gift,” said City of Refuge CEO Bruce Deel. “Primerica has been a great partner to us, and we look forward to using these funds for the families we serve.”

Since its inception in 2011, The Primerica Foundation has awarded 600 grants, which has impacted more than 4 million lives. The Primerica Foundation works with approximately 100 nonprofit and community organizations annually, who help families and individuals in need. City of Refuge and The Primerica Foundation’s partnership began in 2018 with grant funding for the nonprofit’s Eden Shelter and Workforce Innovation Hub.

“Primerica is pleased to support City of Refuge, and the critical work they do to help families in crisis,” said Kathryn Kieser, Chief Reputation Officer and Chair of The Primerica Foundation. “Our commitment to the communities we serve extends to every area of our business from financial education to assisting vulnerable populations who need us most. Through philanthropic partners like City of Refuge, we are working to build stronger communities.”
