Atlanta Dream Co-Owner and Vice President Renee Montgomery Named a John R. Lewis Legacy Honoree

Atlanta Dream Co-Owner and Vice President Renee Montgomery was named one of the John R. Lewis Legacy Institute’s 2023 Champions of Change honorees this week, the organization announced this past weekend.

The John R. Lewis Legacy Institute presented Montgomery with the honor during its inaugural gala, themed ‘The Legacy Continues,’ which took place this past Saturday at the Porsche Experience Center. The award honors individuals who embody the highest values of Congressman John Lewis and represent his legacy of leadership and equality.

The event brought together business and community leaders from Troy, Alabama to Atlanta, Georgia, in celebration and memory of Congressman John R. Lewis. February 21 marks the 83rd birthday of civil rights icon and longtime Georgia Congressman, who for over six decades was recognized as a man who courageously fought for racial equity and justice in America.
