Dr. Elesyia Outlaw-Evans Joins City of Hope Atlanta as Radiation Oncologist

Board-certified radiation oncologist Elesyia Outlaw-Evans, MD, has joined City of Hope Atlanta’s physician team. She has held positions in radiation oncology with the healthcare organization since August 2019.

“Dr. Outlaw-Evans brings valuable expertise, experience and culture to our radiation oncology department,” said Dr. Jeffrey Metts, chief of staff at City of Hope Atlanta. “We are excited her career is continuing with us and our patients have the opportunity to benefit from her clinical capabilities and compassionate care.”

Dr. Outlaw-Evans has extensive experience in intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy and is trained in the Cyberknife® system and hypo-fractionated radiation therapy.

Dr. Outlaw-Evans earned her medical degree at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and completed an internal medicine internship at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. She completed her residency in radiation oncology at Siteman Cancer Center, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

“My goal is to serve as a partner for patients throughout their treatment journey and understand each individual’s needs and goals,” says Dr. Outlaw-Evans. “I enjoy working closely with my patients to provide personalized treatment to improve their quality of life.”

An active clinical researcher, Dr. Outlaw-Evans has been published in several leading research journals and is a member of multiple professional medical organizations, including the American Society for Radiation Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Brachytherapy Society.
