Boutique Education Service, TutorVille, Announces Expansion

Staff Report

TutorVille, an established, boutique education service founded in 2009, is expanding from its Texas homebase to Atlanta this July. The sought-after brand has built a loyal following and reputation for excellence among the most discerning of parents and children. Key to its success are highly personalized offerings that address the diverse needs and learning styles of today’s students.

Officially signing on Friday, April 21, this first national TutorVille franchise will initially service an area of nine Buckhead zip codes and is being operated by Atlanta-based start-up entrepreneur, Ryan Moore. Moore is no stranger to this industry. He spent his own youth in Houston tutoring friends and family.

TutorVille’s niche is a holistic, individualized and nurturing approach to tutoring, homeschooling and all-around support from primary school all the way through college. The goal is creating an environment and head space that ensures each child has the confidence, tools and knowledge to reach their full potential.

“We’re thrilled that Atlanta is our first expansion market,” said TutorVille President and CEO Jess Rogers. “This community puts a premium on education, which is reinforced by the high percentage of private school enrollment. Additionally, given the number of top colleges and universities in the area, it offers an excellent pool of candidates for a carefully curated and vetted team of tutors.”

TutorVille further differentiates itself with a process that custom matches students to their tutors based on both skills and personality. It’s an important step, given that in many ways, TutorVille tutors become an extension of client families. Think a bonus parent of sorts that plays a major role in shaping, nurturing and mentoring the child, not just for school, but for life. And while the goal for some might be better grades and admission to their dream schools, Rogers aims to also foster lifelong learners.

The past year has seen seismic shifts in education. Given a range of recent school controversies and ongoing COVID learning lags, compounded by concerns of bullying and general safety, the move to alternative forms of education have become more understandable and pronounced. And even for the most well-adjusted students in the best schools, busy schedules packed with sports and extra curriculars sometimes create a need for personalized assistance or a competitive edge.

TutorVille offers academic tutoring for all core subjects, foreign languages, organizational and study skills, as well as test prep tutoring for all standardized testing, entrance exams, honors exams and more. In addition, TutorVille provides support for private school and college admissions. TV Prep, their accredited homeschool program, is offered through TTU K-12 and is facilitated by their tutors. This allows parents to be involved in their child’s schooling without having to facilitate the classroom instruction.
