Friday, May 12th, 2023

Mayor Andre Dickens announced the appointment of Myesha Good to serve as the Commissioner of the Department of Customer Service. Good has served Interim Commissioner of the Department—also known as ATL311—since October 2021. ATL311 is the primary point of contact for the public to access City of Atlanta government services and information.

“Since taking office, our Administration has made a priority of getting back to the basics of service delivery—filling potholes, fixing streetlights, clearing trash and yard trimmings—and ATL311 has been at the core of our ability to keep that promise,” said Mayor Dickens. “ATL311 is also an integral part of our pre-arrest diversion services—a resource where anyone can reach out for assistance with non-emergency quality of life concerns related to mental health, substance use, homelessness, and public health. Myesha is a strong advocate for our community. She believes in setting high standards for herself and others and I look forward to seeing how she will continue to update and improve the Department.”

Good began her tenure with the City of Atlanta in 2001, working for two City Council districts before being promoted to a City Council Chief of Staff.

She then served on the inaugural team of the Mayor’s Innovation Delivery Team, which served as an in-house consultancy team—ultimately developing and implementing what is now known as ATL311. Since its inception, Good has held several roles in ATL311, including Business Manager, Business Analyst, Service Delivery Manager and Director of Public Relations and Relationship Management.

“It is an honor to continue to serve the city that I love so dearly. Thank you to Mayor Dickens and thank you to the amazing ATL311 team for their commitment to serving Atlanta’s residents, business community with the world-class customer service they deserve,” said Commissioner Good.

Some of her accomplishments during her twenty-plus years at City Hall include implementing the first case management system for the Department of Public Works, updating the mobile application for ATL311, integrating chatbot technology for ATL311 and adding Integrated Voice Recognition to the current ATL311 system.

Good earned a Bachler of Arts from Morris Brown College and a Master of Public Administration from Strayer University.
