PAWS Atlanta Welcomes New Board Members

PAWS Atlanta, Georgia’s oldest no-kill animal shelter, welcomed seven new

members to their Board of Directors this quarter. This group of kindhearted individuals supports the work of the shelter and ensures that the animals at PAWS Atlanta are well cared for until they find loving homes. The new members are Donna Beezhold, Ryan Harvill, Justin Honaman, Rachel Proctor, Charles Rossignol, Karyn Swoopes, and Henry Yoo.

  • Donna Beezhold is a Commercial Real Estate Partner at Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP. She’s a lifelong animal lover and currently has two rescue dogs and a horse. Outside of her work, she loves going on adventures with her husband and two daughters.
  • Ryan Harvill is a Global IT Program Delivery Principal at Accenture. His management and consulting specialties include enterprise application platforms, large-scale business, and digital transformation initiatives. His success comes from a customer-centric focus that bridges the gap between process and technology. Ryan is passionate about travel, building relationships, and giving back in his community.
  • Justin Honaman leads the worldwide Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Go-to-Market team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). He is also the worldwide segment leader for Food & Beverage. His team’s focus within Retail and CPG is on delivering supply chain, ecommerce, data/analytics and digital engagement business solutions for customers globally. Justin has spent most of his career in Consumer Goods and Retail, both on the customer side (Coca-Cola, Georgia Pacific) as well as the technology/consulting side (Accenture, EY). Justin holds an Industrial & Systems Engineering degree from Georgia Tech, an MBA from Auburn University, and is a graduate of the Stanford LEAD program.
  • Rachel Proctor is the Assistant Manager of Employee Engagement at Norfolk Southern. With over seven years of HR experience, she is skilled at working through complex personnel situations, helping companies work toward their vision for an improved culture while advocating for the employee experience. Rachel values finding purpose in her work and being involved with PAWS Atlanta allows her to give back in even bigger ways. Rachel has two rescue dogs: LB, from PAWS Atlanta, and Hans.
  • Charles Rossignol is the Senior Project Manager of Design and Construction at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. He specializes in science, research, and educational facilities. Charles enjoys hiking and biking outdoors and participates in bike races throughout the state.
  • Karyn Swoopes is the Communications Manager at FEMA. She’s a creative and dynamic communications and public affairs strategist with an extensive background in corporate communications, government affairs, partnership development, and image creation. Her rescued pit bull and PAWS Atlanta alumnus, Beau, inspires her commitment to animal welfare.
  • Henry Yoo is the Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Comcast. He is experienced in Financial Planning and analysis, Operations Management, Workforce Management, and Contact Centers. Henry is a graduate of Virginia Tech. He spends his time away from work with his two rescue dogs.

Board President, Patty Lavely, states, “Ensuring the future of PAWS Atlanta relies heavily on the contributions of our capable and visionary Board of Directors. Over time, we have been fortunate to attract exceptional leaders who bring strategic expertise to the Board. This tradition continues with the addition of our new directors, and I couldn’t be more enthusiastic about welcoming them to both the Board and the extended PAWS Atlanta family.” PAWS Atlanta is delighted to add these valued members to their team and anticipates the bright future they can develop together for animals in need.
