Skanska Building Operations in Atlanta Expands Senior Executive Team

Skanska, a leading global construction and development firm, announced Kay Jefferson as Vice President of Business Development of its Atlanta building operations. Kay brings a breadth of experience to the Atlanta market, including nearly 20 years of experience in business development, strategic marketing, community engagement, and operations, and over ten years of experience in the AEC industry.

“Kay brings a level of professionalism and strategy to our Atlanta operations that will only enhance our ability to pursue and construct world-class projects,” said Matt Frey, vice president of Skanska USA Building. “Her dynamic ability to cultivate relationships and create client solutions will ensure Skanska continues an upward trajectory throughout metro Atlanta and across the state.”

Prior to joining Skanska, Jefferson served as Vice President of Business and Community Development for CareerSource Tampa Bay, Director of Business Services for Jacobsen|Daniels, and Vice President of Operations for VoltAir Consulting Engineers.  

“I’ve been fortunate enough to commute to Atlanta for many years throughout my career and I’m so excited to make it my home as I embark on this role with Skanska. I am thrilled to get to work building a strong professional network and expanding Skanska’s footprint and involvement within the greater Atlanta community,” said Jefferson. 

Already an active member of the Atlanta community, Jefferson currently supports local causes in apprenticeships, aviation, diversity, and workforce development programming opportunities.

A Florida native, Jefferson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Merchandising from Florida State University with certifications in sales management, workforce development, diversity and inclusion.
