Zaxby’s Opens First To-go-only Restaurant in Georgia

Monday, September 25th, 2023

Saucy chicken chain Zaxby's® is introducing its newest restaurant design to Georgia with its first to-go-only concept in its home state. The new Zaxby's is owned and operated by High Adventure Chicken, Inc. and will open for to-go-only service on Monday, Sept. 25 at 925 W. Taylor St. in Griffin.

“Our team and I cannot wait to bring Zaxby’s delicious chicken to the West Taylor Street neighborhood while at the same time pioneering Zaxby’s new to-go-only concept in Georgia,” said Richard Schott, one of the owners and operators of High Adventure Chicken, Inc. “I started out with Zaxby’s as a cook in 2014 and continue to believe in the brand’s mission and values.”

Zaxby's new to-go-only location offers expedited service with a double drive-thru layout, new digital menu boards, a payment window, as well as a drive-thru delivery door for faster pay and pickup. The new design also includes a walk-up window for guests to place take-out orders. The restaurant does not offer indoor seating, catering to the heightened consumer demand for food-to-go, which is expected to increase in the coming years.

For even faster service, customers may also order ahead online via zaxbys.com as well as through the Zaxby’s app available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Ordering delivery is also available directly through the Zaxby’s app, as well as via DoorDash, UberEats and Grubhub at this location.

Zaxby's serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu features the brand’s award-winning Signature Sandwich, the wildly popular Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries and Zaxby’s iconic Fried Pickles, which received USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award in the Best Fast Food Sides category.

Zaxby's declared this month Saucetember™, its annual celebration of all things saucy. As part of the celebration, the brand just auctioned off its first-ever bottle of Zax Sauce, which came with a lifetime supply of Zax Sauce for the highest bidder. The proceeds from the final bid of $30,900 will benefit The Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs of America.

High Adventure Chicken, Inc. is owned by partners Schott, Korey Fredette and Jackson Collins. The franchise operates five restaurants in Georgia, including the new to-go-only location on West Taylor Street. The franchise contracted local, Georgia-based company PaceSetter Construction to build the new restaurant.

“We’re excited to offer up to 35 new employment opportunities with growth potential to the next generation in Griffin,” Schott added.
