Canterbury Court, the first Life Plan community in Atlanta, today introduced two new additions – The Garden Tower for independent living and Monarch Pavilion, a healthcare hub – that doubles the size of the Buckhead community following two years of construction.

At a grand opening event attended by residents, staff, board members and other invited guests, Canterbury Court unveiled its largest-ever expansion, which includes 105 independent living apartments and a new home for all of Canterbury Court’s continuum of healthcare services.

“We are purposely growing to meet demand and enhance services at our vibrant Buckhead community,” said Debi McNeil, president & CEO of Canterbury Court. “This expansion demonstrates our commitment as a not-for-profit community to reinvest revenue into our community for the benefit of residents and staff.”

As a Life Plan community, Canterbury Court offers both independent living residences and access to higher levels of care, if needed, all on one 14-acre campus featuring lush gardens, more than a mile of walking trails, a new, state-of-the-art greenhouse, dog park, private resident garden beds to connect residents with nature and a new, expanded natatorium.
