The largest fundraiser in Atlanta’s Hispanic Community is getting a big boost from The Gary W. Rollins Foundation. The Gary W. Rollins Foundation is giving $470,000 to the Latin American Association as part of its 35th annual Latin Fever Ball, which took place Oct. 14 at Flourish, and its annual contribution to the organization. Kathleen Rollins, the Executive Director of the foundation is the co-chair for the gala.

“As the Executive Director of The Gary W. Rollins Foundation and co-chair of the Latin Fever Ball, I've seen firsthand the transformative power of the Latin American Association. Our foundation's contribution is not just a donation; it's an investment in the vibrant future of the Latino community in Georgia. We're honored to be part of this journey towards greater prosperity and unity,” said Kathleen Rollins.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the Rollins Foundation for this gift, which goes toward our Fund the Mission drive, which this year we are calling Fund the Need for Latino Prosperity,” said LAA President and CEO Santiago Marquez. “Funds raised by the Latin Fever Ball will support the annual operations of the Latin American Association and its one-stop shop service model that looks to bring the American dream to life by providing the resources, support and community that Latinos need to embark on their journey of prosperity.”

More than 700,000 Latinos live in metro Atlanta and nearly 1.1 million in Georgia, and they are projected to make up 21% of the state’s population by 2050.

“When Latinos thrive, Georgia prospers,” Marquez said.

The Latin Fever Ball is presented by Delta, Georgia Power and Rollins. It is the LAA’s biggest fundraiser, and it looks to bring together Georgia’s business community and social leaders for an evening of elegance and fun.
