President of Parkland Communities and Parkland Residential Jim Jacobi recently joined the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast with host Carol Morgan, president of Denim Marketing, to share the benefits of build-to-rent (BTR) and an overview of all the Parkland Residential communities coming soon to metro Atlanta.

Boasting over two decades of experience in the home building and developing industry, Jacobi has focused heavily on the build-to-rent market sector over the past year with Parkland Residential, including its newest BTR community – Grove Landing.

“We’ve been working hard recently developing and getting land ready to bring many new communities to the market,” said Jacobi.

Grove Landing, a Parkland Residential community under construction in Warner Robins, is the first single-family BTR community in the area. The community will showcase 317 unique homesites and desirable on-site amenities, including a spacious cabana, resort-style swimming pool, communal playground, expansive green spaces and much more! Renters can choose two, three- and four-bedroom home plans with open layouts and large, inviting front porches. Thoughtfully placed in proximity to top-rated employment opportunities, Grove Landing is near the largest Frito-Lay manufacturing plant in the country, and Robins Air Force Base, known as the largest employer in Georgia, employing nearly 24,000 people.

Jacobi mentions, “We have done lots of market analytics for Warner Robins, and there is a strong job growth in the area.”

In the interview, Jacobi also explains that renting has many benefits. For example, renters-by-choice enjoy a maintenance-free lifestyle with flexibility, less stress and financial stability. In today’s market, renting is the more monetarily beneficial choice when comparing the overall costs of owning a home versus renting.

“It is proven with multiple studies that it is cheaper to rent than it is to own,” comments Jacobi. “In Fact, it is on average approximately $850 less per month to rent than it is to on a home in the United States right now.”

In 2020, Jacobi formed Parkland Residential, a home building company focused on developing and creating build-to-rent communities. Parkland Residential focuses on the underserved missing middle market, defined by John Hunt, principal with MarketNsight, as a single-family home located alongside what looks like a single-family residence but is a duplex, quad, eightplex or more.

Well-known as a developer in the Atlanta real estate market, Jacobi also runs Parkland Communities Inc., which develops communities for local, regional and national home builders.
