Croy Announces New Aviation Department Leadership

Georgia-based, full-service engineering firm Croy announced the promotion of Michael Carter, PE to the role of Vice President, Aviation, where he will lead all technical aspects, including design and project delivery, for the firm’s aviation projects. In addition, Patrick Lenton, PE was promoted to the role of Director, Aviation Client Services, where he will focus his efforts on strengthening Croy’s existing client relationships with more than 20 general aviation clients, while also expanding the firm’s footprint across the Southeast.

Teague, PE, Chief Executive Officer of Croy. “Michael has supported our aviation group in a part-time role for nearly 10 years, and we look forward to having him now join us full-time and take our capabilities to new heights. Likewise, Patrick is well-deserving of this promotion and has served our clients well since he joined Croy nearly 15 years ago. We are confident that they will both continue to positively contribute to our growth in the industry, as well as deliver quality service to our clients.” 

Bringing more than two decades of experience to this new position, Carter has experience working with many of our general aviation airport clients across Georgia developing designs and specifications, as well as performing construction management and technical review of engineering documents. An active pilot, Carter has extensive aviation background which spans a multitude of aviation services 

Prior to joining Croy, Carter served as a Project Manager overseeing aircraft modifications and as a pilot with Phoenix Air Group, Director of the Paulding County Water System, and Environmental Engineer for the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) and Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). Carter is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering. In addition, he is a Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia and holds his Level II Certification as a Design Professional by the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC).

A long-time employee with Croy, Lenton has most recently served as Croy’s Aviation Division Manager. He is graduate of Kennesaw State University, formerly known as Southern Polytechnic State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. With experience in a variety of projects and clients, Lenton is a registered engineer in four states including Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
