Deloitte Appoints Will Herman as Atlanta & Birmingham Managing Partner

Will Herman has been named Atlanta and Birmingham managing partner for Deloitte LLP, effective Jan. 2, 2024.

Herman succeeds Ed Heys, partner, Deloitte LLP, who served as the Atlanta and Birmingham managing partner for 12 years. Heys will retire in May 2024.

The Atlanta and Birmingham practice employs more than 4,500 professionals delivering audit and assurance, consulting, tax, and risk and financial advisory services. Herman will drive the market’s strategy for growth, business development, social impact and other strategic initiatives. He will also continue to serve a select number of clients.

Herman is a partner in Deloitte & Touche LLP and has 30 years of public accounting experience. Over the course of his career, he has focused on providing services to large, complex companies, specializing in serving real estate and hospitality companies and technology companies. Herman was previously the partner-in-charge of Deloitte & Touche’s Atlanta and Birmingham audit & assurance practices, and prior to that, led the financial services’ real estate industry group within the Atlanta and Birmingham audit & assurance practice.

 In the community, Herman serves on the board for the Atlanta Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, is a leader of various aspects of Deloitte’s relationship with the University of Georgia and was a member of Leadership Atlanta’s class of 2019 

Herman earned his degree in accounting from the University of Georgia. He is a CPA and is a member of both the Georgia Society of CPAs and the AICPA.
