Sankranti Indian Kitchen Rolls Out Food Truck Catering Program

Thursday, November 2nd, 2023

Sankranti Indian Kitchen, the popular quick-service Indian restaurant with locations in Dunwoody, Emory Village and coming soon to West Midtown near Georgia Tech, has earned a dedicated following with its diverse menu of delicious, health-conscious offerings representing both the northern and southern regions of India. And with the launch of its new gourmet food truck catering program, Sankranti moves closer to its goal of bringing high-quality Indian cuisine into the mainstream.

“Over the last two years, we’ve proven that it’s possible to demystify Indian cuisine and make it approachable in a welcoming fast casual environment,” says Srinivasa Nimmagadda “Nimms”, who co-founded Sankranti with his wife Kavitha. “And now we’re making it available to an even broader audience, providing an unforgettable ‘live catering’ experience to take weddings, birthdays, or corporate events to an exciting new level.”

Just like its brick-and-mortar locations, the food truck offers a mouthwatering variety of curry bowls, kabobs, salads, and desserts. Food truck guests can choose from options like the new chicken biryani (bone-in chicken cooked with spices and served with rice) or customize their orders with different bases and proteins (chicken tikka or malai chicken kabob, mango chicken, tofu or chana) and flavorful curry sauces like the new creamy spinach or spicy vindaloo, which are also available at all locations.

“Indian cuisine offers a culinary experience just as rich and flavorful as Mexican cuisine, Mediterranean, Italian or anything else out there,” Nimmagadda says. “And we prepare and serve only fresh, appetizing, and healthy Indian food. Sankranti’s gourmet food truck delivers an unbeatable catering alternative that is both delicious and truly one-of-a-kind.”
