The Providence Group Provides Coats, Essential Items and Meal Boxes for Families Throughout Atlanta

Tuesday, December 5th, 2023

The Providence Group (TPG), the premier developer and homebuilder of award-winning neighborhoods throughout Atlanta gave back this Thanksgiving holiday in two ways.  Employees came together to donate coats, accessories and money for the North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC), as well as put together Thanksgiving meal boxes for families in need throughout Gwinnett County through North Gwinnett Co-Op.

Since 1983, NFCC has addressed homelessness and hunger in North Fulton County.  Each year the agency serves close to 10,000 individuals with emergency need in the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell. Every year, NFCC ensures that families in the community have coats and winter accessories to keep them warm when the temperature drops. Last year, NFCC provided more than 1,000 coats and 2,700 accessories to families in need.

Members of The Providence Group team came together and donated non-perishable food and gift cards to provide more than 30 families throughout Gwinnett County a Thanksgiving Day meal. North Gwinnett Co-Op is an organization that helps families in Gwinnett County throughout the year through their ongoing food pantry, holiday initiatives, school supply support, and other resource programs for families needing assistance. Each holiday season, they ensure that local families have a happy Thanksgiving by providing full meal boxes with all of the ingredients for traditional holiday favorites, including a $20 gift card for the main meal meat or perishable items to be purchased. Last year the organization handed out more than 1600 holiday meal boxes. In addition to box donations, The Providence Group contributed extra food to the North Gwinnett Co-Op food pantry, which is open year round. TPG has partnered with the co-op for several years, joining in on some of specific programs they have throughout the year.

“I learned quickly that giving back is an important part of the culture here at TPG, and our team always jumps at the chance to give back,” said Danielle Johnson, Office Administrative Assistant at The Providence Group.  “We like to give back to the communities we build up in more ways than one. It truly makes my heart smile to see the smiles of those we are fortunate enough to bless.”
