Bennett Thrasher, one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing certified public accounting and consulting firms, announces the promotions of Tim Brunelle and Chris Roane to partnership. Brunelle and Roane
provide consulting and advisory services in the firm’s Tax and Dispute Resolution & Forensics practices. 

Tim Brunelle's journey to partnership at Bennett Thrasher is a testament to his dedication, expertise, and commitment to professional growth. Over 13 years, Tim has steadily climbed the ranks within the firm, showcasing his skills in the tax practice and becoming a pivotal figure in coordinating federal and state income tax consulting and compliance services for partnerships, S corporations, and individuals. His extensive experience spans diverse industries, including real estate, private equity, technology, construction, and healthcare, where he has provided valuable insights to companies ranging from startups to middle-market.

"The most rewarding aspect of my career thus far has been the opportunity to grow and develop alongside my colleagues," expresses Tim. Tim's commitment to mentorship extends beyond the workplace, showcasing a dedication to positively impacting the community. Outside of his professional endeavors, Tim enjoys a variety of interests, including golf, sporting events—especially those involving UGA football—and travel. Married since 2015, he and his wife are raising two small boys. Tim's academic foundation is rooted in the University of Georgia (UGA), where he earned his undergraduate and master's degrees in accounting.

Chris Roane's ascent to partnership at Bennett Thrasher reflects his comprehensive expertise and dedication within the Dispute Resolution and Forensics practice. Joining the firm in 2014, after a five-year tenure with KPMG, Chris has played a pivotal role in assisting clients with various services, including litigation support, corporate investigations, economic damage analyses, regulatory compliance reviews, and other forensic engagements. His industry focus extends to healthcare, life sciences, professional services, real estate, and trusts and estates. Within the healthcare and life sciences space, he has collaborated with various entities such as hospital systems, provider networks, managed care organizations, pharmaceutical companies, durable medical equipment manufacturers, and laboratory testing facilities.

Chris earned an accounting degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in accountancy from Georgia State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Georgia and holds additional certifications in fraud examination (CFE) and health care compliance (CHC), reflecting his commitment to excellence in his field. Married for seven years, Chris is an avid UGA fan and focuses his time outside of work with his wife and two children.
