Canine Dreams Come True with Anticipated Off Leash Decatur Opening in Fall 2024

Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024

A second neighborhood location of premium dog park Off Leash is slated to open in Decatur in fall 2024 with construction beginning this spring. This state-of-the-art oasis for canines and dog owners alike will feature an indoor restaurant (for humans), a large, dog-friendly outdoor patio and an adjacent outdoor, partially covered private dog park, perfect for socializing and practicing the zoomies. Off Leash Decatur will be located within walking distance from the Decatur Square at 240 East Trinity Place.

Off Leash is a new community-driven concept in dog park fun, offering a luxurious and lively experience where humans and dogs can mingle, let loose and wag freely in a warm, friendly environment. Off Leash knows that it is hard to leave the pups at home and has designed a place where dogs and their people are treated like VIPs in the most authentic, down-to-earth ways. The relaxing, inviting atmosphere with superior service ensures that humans can include their canine crew in their social gatherings, whether for a laid-back afternoon with friends or an evening out with drinks and dinner.

The restaurant at Off Leash will feature an indoor area for humans and a large, dog-friendly outdoor patio offering a casual, yet elevated, dining experience. The chef-inspired menu will cover everything from breakfast to dinner, and the bar serves a wide selection of cocktails and beers, from local IPAs to crisp chardonnays and specialty cocktails. Humans can order an appetizer and cocktail or a juicy, flavorful burger grilled to perfection. The craft kitchen also creates light, crisp salads, dips for sharing, fresh sandwiches and many other selections. An assortment of healthy, drool-worthy treats for the four-legged buddies also are offered.

An adjacent outdoor, partially covered private dog park will provide space for year-round play, so pups and their people can let loose, rain or shine. Professionally trained “dogtenders” will be on hand to help supervise dogs and ensure a clean, safe and fun experience for everyone. Dogs can run, pounce, trot and sniff to their hearts’ content, all in a welcoming environment.

“I have called Decatur home now for many years and have walked our dogs from our home to the Decatur square countless times while passing 240 E. Trinity,” says Wendy Newman, cofounder of Off Leash. “I have always thought it would be an incredible location for a dog park, bar and restaurant. It is surreal to see my vision come to life, and I can’t wait to see the park full of pups and folks enjoying great food and cocktails.”

This will be the second location for Off Leash. Off Leash will debut its first location this summer in downtown Alpharetta. Dog memberships will be available. For updates, follow Off Leash on Facebook and Instagram and visit the website at oldogpark.com.
