Moore Colson Announces Two Partner Promotions and Two Director Promotions

Moore Colson, an award-winning accounting, consulting and advisory firm in Atlanta, recently announced the promotions of Katie Deutschler and Darrell Kent to partner and Nana Iyegha and Tanya Mathis to director
Deutschler joined Moore Colson in 2023 as a business assurance director. She specializes in the distribution, manufacturing and transportation industries, assisting clients with financial statement audits and reviews. Her extensive experience also includes providing technical accounting support and guidance to business management around acquisitions and divestitures, carve-outs, revenue recognition, leases and asset impairment considerations. Deutschler has a Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Kent started his career with Moore Colson in 2021 as a business assurance director. He leads financial statement audits and reviews, primarily in the construction, manufacturing and distribution industries. His professional background includes providing technical accounting support and consulting to public and private companies and leading employee benefit plan audits. Kent has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Samford University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is part of the Associated General Contractors of Georgia’s Young Leadership Program.
Iyegha joined Moore Colson in 2018 as a risk advisory and compliance services senior associate. He specializes in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance testing, internal audits and other compliance engagements for the firm. His successful business experience includes leading SOX readiness engagements and assisting clients with the implementation and continued development of various Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tools. Iyegha has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Auburn University and a Master of Accounting from Alabama State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association and is vice president of memberships for the Institute of Internal Auditor’s Atlanta Chapter.
Mathis started her career with Moore Colson in 2022 as a risk advisory and compliance services senior manager. She specializes in IT SOX and business-as-usual (BAU) IT audit engagements. Her professional experience includes developing and facilitating the execution of annual second line of defense compliance testing programs and global internal audit plans. Mathis has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Accountancy from Alabama State University. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
