National developer Portman today announces BRASH Coffee Roasters, an Atlanta-based specialty roaster, will open a new location at Junction Krog District, the new Class-A office building with ground-floor retail fronting the Atlanta BeltLine. Opening in May, BRASH will bring its signature high-quality coffees and introduce its first-ever curated cocktail program, which will offer thoughtfully crafted beverages in the evenings. With this announcement, there is only one retail space available before the project is fully leased.

Located along the heart of the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, BRASH Coffee will open in a shipping container-like kiosk on Junction Krog District’s 7,000-square-foot public porch. In addition to its well-known coffee program, BRASH Coffee will be running a curated cocktail program in the evenings, think espresso martini – a first for the brand. BRASH Coffee is committed to sourcing, roasting and serving the authentic and quality coffee that makes a true connection with the community. Upon opening in May, Junction Krog District will become BRASH Coffee’s fifth intown location.

“BRASH has always believed that great things happen in small spaces,” says Chris McLeod, owner of BRASH Coffee. “This prominent corner of the Atlanta BeltLine is the perfect place for BRASH to have a home and there is a real need for specialty coffee here. Junction Krog District’s porch is ideally suited to our vision of creating a lively community hub over hand-crafted coffee and cocktails.”'

Portman previously announced two chef-driven restaurants for Junction Krog District that will open this summer.

Yuji, a new concept by Kinjo Enterprise, LLC, will be an innovative, fine dining Japanese restaurant serving a Kaiseki-inspired menu with fresh and seasonal dishes. Yuji’s flagship location at Junction Krog District represents the culinary team’s lifelong dedication to the art of sushi and Japanese cuisine. Yuji will be connected to Junction Krog District’s public porch and include two outdoor bars that are easily accessible to pedestrians. For additional convenience, Yuji will have a walk-up window with a touchscreen display for to-go orders. YEPPA&co, a bar-centric, hospitality-driven Italian concept, is born from Pietro Gianni and Stephen Peterson, the team behind Storico Fresco, Forza Storico and Pachengo’s. Like its sister restaurant in Buckhead Village District, YEPPA&co will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week with a central bar area and approachable to-go fare. The restaurant will feature a large outdoor patio, complete with an additional bar and spritz bar.

“When designing the F&B experience at Junction Krog District, it was important to bring in the brands that share our vision of activating the outdoor spaces so that human energy can flow off the BeltLine and into the project’s street level and community porch,” said Dotan Zuckerman, Head of Retail Development for Portman. “BRASH Coffee will perfectly complement the project’s chef-driven restaurants, while also becoming an incredible amenity for the office space upstairs.”

Adjacent to Junction Krog District, Portman purchased 1.3 acres where it is planning a second phase of the project, furthering its commitment to enhancing Atlanta’s most beloved pedestrian trail with quality, community-driven projects.

Also in Atlanta, construction is underway on Spring Quarter, Portman’s premier mixed-use development. Delivering this year, Spring Quarter is centered around the historic H.M. Patterson Home and Gardens and features 525,000 square feet of Class-A office, 40,000 square feet of retail and 370 luxury residential units.
