Piedmont has earned recognition as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 by Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group.
Newsweek and Plant-A Insights Group recognized America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity in the United States by conducting a study in which more than 223,000 employees in the United States were randomly selected and interviewed. During the process, 1.5 million comprehensive company reviews were collected.
“While we continue our diversity, equity and inclusion journey, we are excited to see recognition for our progress by making this list two years in a row,” Piedmont Healthcare President and CEO Kevin Brown said. “It is part of our strategic framework to be an employer of choice for a top-tier and diverse work force and this demonstrates that we are succeeding in that area.”
“Embedded in our values is our commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and engaging environment for both our patients and our employees,” Piedmont Chief Human Resources Officer Vicki Cansler said. “This award from Newsweek validates our commitment that our employees are respected and valued for the unique contributions they make towards Piedmont’s Promise to make a positive difference in every life we touch.”
Piedmont’s Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion Jo Anne Hill is responsible for ensuring that Piedmont’s employment strategies and actions are reflective of its diverse marketplace. Since joining Piedmont in 2019, she established Diversity Councils throughout the Piedmont system.
“The purpose of the Diversity Council is to ensure that Piedmont fully engages all of its human resource assets to positively impact patient care and satisfaction, employee performance, workforce morale, employee retention, and the overall performance of Piedmont,” Hill said. “This award is a reflection of the positive impact that our Diversity Councils are making.”
