Atlanta Overtakes Queens, NY, as the Second Most Sought-After City for Renters

The South is neck in neck with the West as the most coveted region, with 9 vs. 10 cities in our top 30. Atlanta is the highest-ranking Southern city. In fact, this is Atlanta’s fifth appearance in the top three over the course of 11 months.

Atlanta overtook Queens, NY, as the second most sought-after city by renters in the nation. Why? Atlanta ranked 1st for listings saved as favorites and 1st for saved searches. At the same time, traffic remained high, Atlanta ranking 8th for page views out of 150 cities analyzed.

Orlando, FL (#8); Washington, D.C. (#10); Richmond, VA (#11), and Fort Lauderdale, FL (#12), continue to rock the charts while four new Southern cities joined the top 30 this month. Little Rock, AR, skyrocketed in popularity with a 90-spot jump directly to #13 — the fastest climb of the month. Cary, NC, jumped to #19 and Winston-Salem, NC, to #21. Louisville, KY, is the ninth Southern city in our top 30 at #28.
