Harvin Greene, a top luxury Realtor with Dorsey Alston Realtors, recently facilitated the historic sale of an elegant Scandinavian meets California custom home in Tuxedo Park in Buckhead. The home closed in mid-March 2024 in an off-market sale for $19,800,000. Greene represented the Buyers, and Ben Hirsh of Hirsh Real Estate represented the Sellers.

"The home itself is a work of art, and upon walking in, I knew it was exactly what my clients were looking for," says Greene.

The new owners, Summer and Michael Tourville, sought privacy, manageable space, and a unique design transcending the ordinary. The home took two years to design, permit, and complete, and every inch of the more than 20,000-square-foot residence was carefully curated, from the studs to the owner's art collection on the walls.

Greene's 15+ years of expertise in the Atlanta real estate market, extensive network, and background in interior design proved instrumental in identifying multiple off-market properties that met her clients' discerning criteria. Among these options, the Tuxedo Park residence stood out for its exceptional blend of sophistication, functionality, and exclusivity.

"This house has everything we could have dreamed of. From the flow between indoors and outdoors to the kitchen and the overall warmth, it's like it was made for us," said Summer Tourville. "We appreciate Harvin finding the perfect home while we were out of the state. There were a lot of virtual tours, but she found something beautifully unique and fits our family perfectly."

Despite its grand scale, the residence maintains an inviting atmosphere, allowing the family to enjoy every corner without feeling constrained. The balance between opulence and warmth resonated with the clients, who were seeking a home where they could create lasting memories, host, and entertain.

It harmonizes indoor and outdoor living and boasts an open floor plan that revolves around an outdoor heated cobblestone deck. Its distinct features, including eight-foot-wide stairs accented with Shou Sugi Ban — commonly called burnt Japanese wood — siding, stained cypress accents, and ten-foot-tall glass and iron doors, exude elegance and craftsmanship at every turn.

One of the property's highlights is the double island kitchen, complemented by a spacious butler's pantry and a secondary commercial-grade chef's kitchen for entertaining. From the Family Room with its heated concrete floors and expansive fireplace to the putting green and golf simulator on the terrace level, every aspect is meticulously crafted to blend luxury with comfort, a home ideally suited for today's family.

Atlanta-based Siegel Construction & Design and Norwood Architects designed and built the property.

"It's a place where every element, from the architecture to the landscaping to the interior design, harmonizes to create an unparalleled sense of awe and wonder. In the heart of Atlanta, this home stands as a beacon of what is possible when talent, vision, and collaboration converge — a masterpiece that will inspire for generations to come," said David Siegel, owner of Siegel Construction & Design.

Dorsey Alston, Realtors is Atlanta's oldest locally owned residential firm founded in 1947, and their successful facilitation of this sale highlights their commitment to excellence and personalized service in the luxury real estate market.
