Northern China Eatery, the beloved Buford Highway restaurant known for its authentic Northern Chinese cuisine, will open The Dumpling Factory in West Midtown's Westside Paper.

The new concept was born from the widespread adoration for Northern China Eatery's signature dish. Recognizing the demand from patrons who travel miles for a taste of their dumplings, Fan Zhang, owner of Northern China Eatery, decided to create a casual dining concept centered around them.

"We want to make our food accessible to patrons regardless of where they are located," said Zhang. "The Dumpling Factory will cater to dine-in and takeout customers, ensuring everyone can enjoy our renowned dumplings."

Northern China Eatery, under Zhang’s ownership since 2012, has been a staple on Atlanta’s international food destination, Buford Highway since 2008. With The Dumpling Factory, he will bring his family’s authentic flavors to a new audience in West Midtown.

Featured in numerous publications and websites, including Atlanta Magazine, Garden & Gun, Eater Atlanta and the AJC, Northern China Eatery is constantly regarded as one of Atlanta's best restaurants. It was also featured on "The Layover with Anthony Bourdain."

"We are incredibly excited to welcome Fan Zhang and The Dumpling Factory to Westside Paper," said Chris Faussemagne of Westbridge. "Their commitment to authentic, quality international cuisine aligns perfectly with our vision for a unique retail destination featuring the best local operators."

Situated at 950 West Marietta Street, Westside Paper is a repurposed 70-year-old warehouse reimagined by Westbridge and FCP®. This mixed-use campus offers a blend of historic charm and modern amenities, providing an ideal backdrop for The Dumpling Factory's debut.

In addition to dumplings, The Dumpling Factory will have a variety of street food delicacies and traditional entrees, all crafted with the freshest ingredients and meticulous attention to detail.

An early summer opening is planned.
