Dick Anderson, County Manager, Fulton County Government, delivered a compelling address, emphasizing the significance of the $180+ million Renew the District expansion initiative and the pivotal role of the Fulton County Executive Airport in driving economic development.

Anderson highlighted the transformative impact of the Renew the District initiative on the economic landscape of Fulton County. He noted that Renew the District represents the largest redevelopment activity ever undertaken by Fulton County.

Samir Abdullahi, Director, Select Fulton, provided insights into investments in the Fulton Industrial Boulevard corridor. The County has strategically acquired over 15 acres along Fulton Industrial and Interstate 20 for redevelopment. Abdullahi highlighted ongoing efforts to attract businesses, stimulate growth, and create a vibrant economic corridor along Fulton Industrial Boulevard. Including the recent approval of a Georgia Opportunity Zone in the area, one of only three approved in 2023. The Fulton County Executive Airport tour with the MAC signaled a bold stride towards enhancing connectivity, driving innovation, and fostering economic development across Fulton County.
