Kaiser Permanente of Georgia today announced the installation of a GE PET/CT Omni Unit at its Glenlake Comprehensive Specialty Center. This state-of-the-art technology is set to revolutionize diagnostic imaging in Georgia, marking only the second installation of its kind within the state.

The GE PET/CT Omni Unit incorporates the newest digital BGO (dBGO) detector material and AI software, improving image quality and detectability of small diseases, cancers and lesions. The new system is designed to optimize efficiency, improve patient experience and increase diagnostic capabilities, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Features such as rapid data quality assurance, enhanced AI-based Auto Patient Positioning capabilities and streamlined patient setup further improve the effectiveness of the system.

“This new technology represents a significant advancement in diagnostic capabilities, enabling our team of radiologists to provide more accurate and timely assessments,” said Heidi Veltman, Chief Operating Officer of Kaiser Permanente Georgia. “Access to this high-level equipment will not only empower our doctors but will also contribute to saving patient lives.”
