Atlanta’s Coworking Inventory Continues Increase in Q1

In the first quarter of 2024, Atlanta’s coworking supply continued its upward trajectory, now standing at a total of 216 spaces.

This is according to CoworkingCafe’s recently released coworking industry quarterly report, for which our researchers leveraged the most recent proprietary data (April). We broke down the coworking space stock availability in the 25 largest markets, the spaces’ size and distribution, as well as the leading coworking operators.

We also compared the most recent numbers to those registered in the fourth quarter of 2023 to determine the evolution of coworking throughout the nation.

Here’s how the coworking market performed in the last quarter:

  • Atlanta saw a 2.9% increase in the coworking spaces supply. This translates to 6 more coworking spaces. The market kept its 7th spot nationally, now sharing it with the Houston market.

  • In terms of total square footage, Atlanta remained 7th nationwide with 4.37 million sqft., a very small decrease of 0.01% compared to Q4 2023.

  • The average sqft. in Atlanta dropped by 3% from 20,822 sqft. in Q4 of last year to 20,241 sqft. in Q1 of 2024.

  • In terms of pricing, virtual offices dropped $4, now standing at $175. Dedicated desks and open workspaces are now more expensive than last quarter, going for $294 and $139, respectively.

  • The national coworking supply now stands at 6,597 spaces, registering a 6% increase from Q4 2023.
