Friday, December 12th, 2025

Fulton County is proud to announce the Grand Reopening of the South Fulton Training Center. A Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the new facility will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. The state-of-the-art center, which is dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is located at 475 Fairburn Road SW, Atlanta, GA 30331.

This event marks an important milestone in Fulton County’s commitment to expanding inclusive, community-based services. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the renovated space, learn about new program offerings, and celebrate alongside county leaders, families, and community partners as we launch a resource designed to empower residents and enhance quality of life.

“Fulton County’s new South Fulton Training Center is an investment in the wellbeing of our residents,” said Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts. “We want to create a space that allows our clients to truly thrive.”

The renovated facility will include a fully equipped computer lab, a specially designed sensory room, a nursing station, and other enhancements tailored to support the needs of adults with developmental disabilities.

Improvements to the facility were approved by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners in September 2024. Renovations to the building kicked off a month later in October 2024.
