Delta Community Credit Union Commits $75,000 to 30 Metro Atlanta Charities

Remaining committed to supporting the communities it serves, Delta Community Credit Union, Georgia's largest credit union, announces recipients of its second annual Philanthropic Fund grant program. The Credit Union pledges to donate a total of $75,000 to 30 organizations in metro Atlanta.
As a not-for-profit financial institution, Delta Community is an active participant in, and source of support for, organizations important to its members. "Our Philanthropic Fund allows Delta Community to demonstrate, in a very tangible way, its commitment to the communities we serve," said Jai Rogers, vice president of Business Development at Delta Community. "Each of these 30 grant recipients share the Credit Union's goals to help families manage household finances and improve the physical and financial well-being of young people."
The 2015 Philanthropic Fund grant recipients include:
- Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs – Get On Your F.E.E.T. Program
- Alive Ministries, Inc. - Save it Forward
- Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta - College Bound Program
- CHRIS Kids – TransitionZ Program (Housing, Counseling, Job Skills, Life Skills, Career Readiness & basic needs such as food and clothing)
- Clarkston Community Center – Mobile App Competition, S.T.E.M. Program
- Cobb Library Foundation – Teen Center Spaces
- Communities in Schools of Henry County – Life 101 Program (Income and Expense Management)
- Covenant House of Georgia – Adult Basic Education Program, Financial Literacy
- Everybody Wins! Atlanta – Power Lunch and Story Time Programs, CRCT Improvements, Marvels of Money Book Series
- Foster Care Support Foundation – Hope for Tomorrow Mentorship Program
- Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta – Furniture Distribution Program
- Georgia Law Center for the Homeless – Individualized Education Program, Financial Literacy and Stability
- Habitat for Humanity in North Georgia – Family Services and Education Program
- Housing Initiative of North Fulton - Homestretch
- Junior Achievement of Georgia – Discovery Center, Biztown or Finance Park
- Literacy Action – Financial Literacy Class
- New Hope Enterprises – Core Job-readiness Program
- Our House – Family Advocacy, Financial Literacy, Money Management
- Posse Atlanta – Pre-Collegiate Training Program
- Rainbow House – Emergency Shelter and Connection Child Advocacy and Assessment Center
- Saint Joseph's Mercy Cares – Latino Childhood Obesity Prevention Program
- Sandy Springs Education Force – After School and S.T.E.M. Program
- The Center for Working Families, Inc. – Family Asset Building Program
- The Community School – Outdoor, Physical Education Programs
- The Drake House – Life Skills Financial Education Program
- The Salvation Army – Money Matters
- The Study Hall – Financial Literacy Program
- United Methodist Children's Home of Northern Georgia – Student Success Program
- Vox Teen Communications – Graduation Countdown
- WellSpring Living – Financial Literacy and Empowered Living Programs
Individual Philanthropic Fund grants ranging from $500 to $7,500 will be distributed to these 30 recipients throughout 2015.
