Truist Names Katie Saez Georgia Regional President

Truist Financial Corporation announced Katie Saez has been named Georgia regional president. Saez succeeds Jenna Kelly who will now serve in a new role as group regional president for Truist.    

Saez will lead commercial banking teams that deliver comprehensive financial solutions to business clients throughout Georgia. In this role, she will direct client management and business development activities as well as integrate all Truist lines of business in Georgia for the benefit of clients and communities.  

“Katie is a proven leader who brings the right mix of client-facing experience and consultative solution expertise to lead the Georgia region to continued success,” said Kelly. “Under Katie’s leadership, Georgia region teammates will continue to deliver strategic advisory solutions that can inspire and build better lives and communities throughout the state.”   

Saez, a 22-year Truist veteran, most recently served as senior vice president and head of treasury sales for Truist’s Corporate & Institutional Group, Truist Wealth, and Specialty Treasury groups. Previously, she has held many treasury leadership roles, as well as senior relationship management, sales enablement, and portfolio management positions in commercial banking in Georgia after beginning her Truist career as part of the Commercial Banking Training Program. Saez is also a member of Truist’s diversity, equity and inclusion council and company-wide business resource groups that promote a more purpose, mission and values-based working environment at Truist. Additionally, she is a member of the Association of Financial Professionals and holds the Certified Treasury Professional accreditation. 

As group regional president Kelly will now oversee 11 Truist bank regions spanning Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and West Virginia. In this newly created role, she will help drive business results by working with and coaching teams, helping ensure delivery of Truist’s best thinking and expertise to clients, and gathering and sharing insights from across the regions.  

Truist operates under a community banking model, which means its leadership and decision-making are close to the communities it serves. Regional presidents lead a local team comprised of experienced financial professionals dedicated to serving the company’s diverse mix of clients, including business banking, commercial banking, middle market banking, not-for-profit/government banking, and regional commercial real estate clients. Regional presidents work closely with dedicated industry and advisory teams compromised of selected experts in industry verticals, specialty products and strategic advisory solutions to provide complex capabilities for their clients.
