Gwinnett Young Professionals Announces Journey Class of 2023
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022
Gwinnett Young Professionals (GYP) announces the Journey Class of 2023. Forty-five emerging young leaders have been named to this year’s cohort, making 2023 the largest Journey class to have been selected since the program’s inception in 2020.
“Personal and professional growth is a journey, not a destination and the Journey Leadership Institute was founded on this premise,” said Chase Meeder, Senior Program Manager for GYP at the Gwinnett Chamber. “We congratulate the members of this year’s class on being selected for this institute and look forward to watching them grow over the next nine months.”
Journey was established to support the growth and development of young professionals within their places of work. Backed by the Gwinnett Chamber, GYP cultivates next generation leadership through core initiatives like the Journey Leadership Institute that enable young professionals to grow, connect and impact the greater Gwinnett region.

The Journey Leadership Institute begins with a combination of training on core values, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. After developing a deep understanding of self, Journeyers will continue to grow and develop as they participate in each of the 8-monthly topic-based workshops. Each Journeyer will also be assigned to a Crew which will be composed of 5-8 Journeyers and a Crew Leader who will lead them into deeper discussions.
