Market Report Q2: Atlanta Ranks 6th for Coworking Spaces

  • In Q2, Atlanta ranked 6th for the number of coworking spaces, with a total of 210 flexible workspaces – an impressive 12% increase compared to Q1.

  • The market took the 7th spot in terms of the total square footage covered by coworking spaces – with over 4.4 million sqft. – an 8% growth in this area.

  • When looking at the square footage per market, Atlanta has an average of 21,044 sqft. – a decrease of 4% compared to Q1.

  • Looking at the coworking subscriptions in the Atlanta market, virtual office median prices increased to $163 from $74 in Q1, and dedicated desks to $299 from $254 in Q1. In the meantime, open workspaces stagnated at $139.

  • As of June 2023, the national coworking space stock reached a total location count of 6,163. This was a 10% increase in the span of a quarter, given that the national inventory stood at 5,612 in March.

National Coworking Supply Registers 10% Growth in Q2, Surpasses 6,100 Flex Workspaces as of June 2023

Perhaps the most relevant factor in the evolution of coworking is the general increase in the number of flex workspaces nationwide. To that end, as of June 2023, the national coworking space stock reached a total location count of 6,163. This was a 10% increase in the span of a quarter — given that the national inventory stood at 5,612 in March.
