Atlanta's premier entertainment venue, The Fox Theatre, proudly announces its recent achievements and nominations as the year draws to a close. These accomplishments, placing this historic entertainment powerhouse in the top three of the industry's most respected publications, underscore the Fox Theatre's enduring success and essential role in the entertainment world.

In 2023, the Fox Theatre achieved the following noteworthy recognitions and milestones:

No. 2 Highest Grossing Theatre (5,000 seats or less) - Billboard Magazine

Billboard Magazine, a leading source of music and entertainment news, has recognized the Fox Theatre as the second-highest-grossing theatre in the nation with a seating capacity of 5,000 or less. This acknowledgment highlights the Fox Theatre's consistent ability to attract audiences and generate substantial revenue.

No. 2 Year-End Top Stop Venue - VenuesNow Magazine

VenuesNow Magazine, known for its comprehensive industry coverage, has ranked the Fox Theatre as the second highest-ranking venue for tickets sold in their prestigious North America Year-End Top Stop Venue list.

2024 Theatre of the Year Nomination - Pollstar Magazine

The Fox Theatre is honored to announce its nomination for the esteemed 2024 Pollstar Magazine Theatre of the Year award. This nomination reflects the Fox Theatre's unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional entertainment experiences. The winner will be announced during its annual Pollstar Live! event in Beverly Hills on Feb. 8.

Best Performing Arts Theatre & Best Live Theatre – Atlanta Magazine

Since 1980, Atlanta Magazine has created an annual “Best of Atlanta” guide that is selected by their editors and readers, with no outside influence from advertisers. This year, the Fox Theatre stood out among its competition and won Atlanta’s Best Performing Arts Theatre and Best Live Theatre.

2023 was a banner year for the Fox Theatre, amassing over $40 million in gross ticket sales and hosting over 500,000 devoted live entertainment fans. These remarkable numbers accent the Fox Theatre's economic strength and indispensable role in sustaining Atlanta's cultural landscape. From sold out Broadway in Atlanta and Comedy shows, to full capacity Rock and R&B concerts, it is evident how adored the Fox Theatre really is.

Broadway brought standout shows that flourished including MJ the Musical and The Wiz which were both sold out engagements with standing room only. Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta’s presentation of WICKED once again attracted droves of excited theatregoers to the four-week engagement from July 5 to July 30, 2023. In total, the musical welcomed more than 116,000 patrons and generated a local economic impact of over $30 million.

Throughout the year, the Fox Theatre presented a series of sold-out performances, including Janelle Monae's electrifying show on Oct. 6 and Queens of the Stone Age's rock extravaganza on Aug. 18. To view images from these unforgettable moments, please click here.

The Fox Theatre also celebrated a successful year of comedy with sold-out runs from acclaimed comedians. The highlights include:

· 2 sold-out shows for Leanne Morgan on Sept. 23 and 24.

· 2 sold-out shows for Heather McMahan on Nov. 9 and 10.

· 3 sold-out shows for Theo Von from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1.

The Fox Theatre's exciting year isn't over yet, as their annual 3-night New Year's Eve run with jam band Widespread Panic approaches. This year marks the 44th performance by Widespread Panic at the Fox Theatre, making them the most-played band at the venue. Images from past years can be seen here.
