Wednesday, December 20th, 2023
Peach Bowl, Inc., which operates the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Aflac Kickoff Game and the Southern Company Peach Bowl Challenge golf tournament, today announced a commitment of $5.75 million in charitable donations for the 2023-24 college football season.
The largest donation planned by any bowl game in the country, the committed contributions will bring Peach Bowl, Inc.’s total giving mark to more than $62.7 million since 2002, reaffirming its position as college football’s most charitable bowl organization. This marks the sixth straight year the Peach Bowl has donated more than $5 million and the 17th straight year of eclipsing $1 million in giving.
This year also marks the first year Peach Bowl, Inc. has partnered with Aflac as the new title sponsor of their annual Kickoff Game. This new agreement brings together two Georgia-based companies who are completely mission-aligned in support of their community through sports.
For the 2023-24 season, recipients will include the Peach Bowl LegACy Fund benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Westside Future Fund benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, various university head coach foundations, endowed scholarships, and the Georgia Lions Lighthouse among others.
“Nothing is more important to us than our steadfast commitment to making a positive impact on our community,” said Gary Stokan, Peach Bowl, Inc. CEO and president. “The Peach Bowl is the only bowl in the country created for charity and we are honored to live up to that legacy again this year.”
