Monday, the Metro Atlanta Chamber (MAC) announced the launch of a new brand for talent attraction and retention, “Atlanta - Where You Belong,” aimed at drawing top-tier talent to the vibrant 29-county metro Atlanta area. As competition intensifies among cities and regions, Atlanta asserts itself as the premier destination for career opportunities and community connections. The brand capitalizes on the region’s momentum as it continues to rise as a global center for innovation and opportunity.
“Metro Atlanta’s appeal – at first glance – lies in our region’s wide array of career opportunities, with an incredibly robust presence of established corporations, Fortune 500s, and a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Katie Kirkpatrick, president & CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “But there is more to us than our careers, and this new brand underscores the multifaceted experience that we each have in our communities. Life in metro Atlanta is infinitely adaptable, with an option for every life choice at every life stage. The central theme of Atlanta - Where You Belong is a profound sense of community and belonging.”
Exhaustive market research led the data-driven process of developing the new brand. Each step in development was overseen by an advisory group of senior marketing executives from MAC’s Board of Directors. This board represents some of the largest brands in the world including Delta Air Lines, The Coca-Cola Company, Equifax and more.
Atlanta - Where You Belong was built on insights that show metro Atlanta is widely known as a global business hub with plentiful opportunities for a career. The brand connects the job opportunities metro Atlanta is known for with the region’s other strengths – metro Atlanta also provides a customizable life for any life stage, and has a community for everyone.
MAC teamed up with Atlanta-based creative agency Dagger, to develop and launch Atlanta - Where You Belong across multiple platforms with a singular message: “Only Atlanta has your dream career and life.” The brand will amplify its impact by showcasing real people who live and work across metro Atlanta, enriching campaigns with authenticity and resonance.
The new brand was launched at an event featuring business and community leaders, as well as Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, who touted the economic and cultural appeal of the metro Atlanta region as a whole.
