“As a regional partner organization of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), GWBC® is one of the largest certification and development resource providers for women business enterprises in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. It is the WBENC certification gold standard that corporations require when selecting and working with WBEs. Our TOP Corporations of the Year Awards recognize our corporate partners that go above and beyond in supporting WBEs through their supplier diversity and procurement departments,” said Roz Lewis, President and CEO - GWBC. “What makes this event so unique is that each corporate honoree's award is presented through a real-world testimony of a WBE partner whose business has been directly impacted by their support,” added Lewis.

GWBC® is continuing its powerful programming with the expansion of its Power of Partnering (POP) event to Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. This half-day, regional in-person experience allows women entrepreneurs, business leaders, corporations and procurement professionals train, network and gain insight into economic development. The first POP session is scheduled for June 26 in Charlotte, North Carolina at Ally Financial’s headquarters, featuring keynote speaker, Tya Bolton, Director, Small Business and Entrepreneurship for the CLT Alliance Foundation and founder of EBS Universal, and a reaction/discussion panel. The South Carolina POP event will occur on August 14 at the Milliken headquarters in Spartanburg, and the Georgia POP event will take place on September 25 at Georgia Power’s headquarters.

Following the educational and networking North Carolina POP event, GWBC will hold its annual competition called Perfect Pitch where selected applicants who previously submitted a 90-second video elevator pitch, compete by presenting their business ideas for a chance to win $1,000 and move onto the national WBENC Pitch Competition.
