Fox Theatre Reveals 2024 Pivotal Peak-Performing Success

Atlanta's iconic Fox Theatre proudly announces its remarkable achievements for 2024, reaffirming its status as a premier destination in the entertainment industry. These milestones showcase the venue's continued excellence and its vital contribution to the world of live entertainment.

The Fox Theatre achieved the following noteworthy recognitions and milestones: 

No. 1 Highest Grossing Theatre (5,000 seats or less) - Billboard Magazine
Billboard Magazine, a leading source of music and entertainment news, has recognized the Fox Theatre as the highest-grossing theatre in the nation with a seating capacity of 5,000 or fewer. This acknowledgment highlights the Fox Theatre's consistent ability to attract audiences and generate substantial revenue. 

No. 1 Year-End Top Stop Venue - VenuesNow Magazine
VenuesNow Magazine, known for its comprehensive industry coverage, has ranked the Fox Theatre as No. 1 in its 2024 Top Stops Year-End Worldwide Venues list, in the 2,001-5,000 capacities.

No. 3 Theatre Worldwide in Tickets Sold - Pollstar Magazine
Fox Theatre has ranked No. 3 out of 200 Theatres Worldwide for Tickets Sold and No. 5 out of 200 Theatres Worldwide for Gross Sales.

Best Performing Arts Theatre & Best Live Theatre – Atlanta Magazine
Since 1980, Atlanta Magazine has created an annual “Best of Atlanta” guide that is selected by its editors and readers, with no outside influence from advertisers. This year, the Fox Theatre stood out among its competition and won Atlanta’s Best Performing Arts Theatre and Best Live Theatre.

 

On behalf of the Fox Theatre, Vice President of Facility Operations Rachel Bomeli accepted an Emerging 100 award for the theatre’s critical role in engaging The Emerging 100 of Atlanta, the young professional arm of the 100 Black Men of Atlanta. Receiving this accolade for booking this impressive group of young men annually in the club spotlights the Fox Theatre’s astounding leadership.

The Fox Theatre celebrated a standout year in 2024, generating over $50 million in gross ticket sales and welcoming more than 600,000 enthusiastic live entertainment fans. These impressive figures underscore the venue's economic impact and vital role in Atlanta's vibrant cultural scene. With sold-out Broadway productions, packed comedy shows and full-capacity Rock and R&B concerts, the Fox Theatre continues to be a cherished cornerstone of the city's entertainment landscape.

Broadway brought standout shows that flourished, including SELL OUTS like SIX and TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta’s presentation of Hamilton once again attracted droves of excited theatergoers to the multi-week engagement from Jan. 28 – Feb. 25. In total, the musical welcomed more than 116,000 patrons and generated a local economic impact of over $30 million. 

Throughout the year, the Fox Theatre presented a series of sold-out performances, including three nights of Goose on June 20-22 and an unforgettable birthday celebration for former President Jimmy Carter on Sept. 17 with Jimmy Carter 100: A Celebration in Song presented by Delta.
