The field is set for the 2025 TOUR Championship with the top 30 players in the FedExCup qualifying for the season finale at East Lake Golf Club. Reigning FedExCup Champion Scottie Scheffler earned his 18th win of his PGA TOUR career and his fifth victory of the 2025 season at the BMW Championship, maintaining his place as the FedExCup leader for the fourth consecutive season as he seeks to become the first back-to-back FedExCup Champion.

Rory McIlroy, who won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, THE PLAYERS Championship and the Masters Tournament this season, collected a T12 finish at Caves Valley Golf Club and will enter the week at No. 2 in the FedExCup. J.J. Spaun, who earned his second TOUR title in dramatic fashion at the U.S. Open at Oakmont, enters at No. 3 while 2018 FedExCup Champion Justin Rose sits at No. 4 following his victory at the first Playoffs event, the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Tommy Fleetwood finished T4 at the BMW Championship and rounds out the top five in the standings.

The FedExCup Playoffs conclude this week at the TOUR Championship, supported by Proud Partners Accenture, Coca-Cola and Southern Company, where the top 30 players will compete for the title of 2025 FedExCup Champion. The first and second rounds will be broadcast live on Golf Channel from historic East Lake Golf Club on Thursday, Aug. 21 and Friday, Aug. 22 from 1-6 p.m. The third round will be broadcast on Golf Channel from 1-2:30 p.m. and on NBC from 2:30-7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 23, with the final round slated for Sunday, Aug. 24 from 12-1:30 p.m. on Golf Channel and 1:30-6 p.m. on NBC.

As previously announced, the TOUR Championship will be played as a 72-hole stroke-play event, with all players starting the tournament at even par and the winner claiming the FedExCup.

Other Player Storylines:

Reigning FedExCup Champion Scottie Scheffler (No. 1) holds the FedExCup lead entering the TOUR Championship for the fourth consecutive year (T2/2022; T6/2023; 1st/2024). Scheffler looks to become the first back-to-back FedExCup Champion.

Harry Hall (No. 45 to No. 26) was the only player to begin the BMW Championship outside the top 30 in the FedExCup and play his way into the TOUR Championship following his sixth-place finish at Caves Valley.

Six former FedExCup Champions qualified for the TOUR Championship: No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (2024), No. 2 Rory McIlroy (2016, 2019, 2022), No. 4 Justin Rose (2018), No. 12 Justin Thomas (2017), No. 20 Patrick Cantlay (2021), No. 22 Viktor Hovland (2023).

Rory McIlroy qualified for his eighth consecutive TOUR Championship, the longest active streak. Tony Finau and Xander Schauffele entered the Playoffs sharing the longest active streak (8) before failing to advance past the FedEx St. Jude Championship and BMW Championship, respectively.
