Rising from the historic site where Atlanta’s story began, Hotel Phoenix will officially welcome guests beginning December 1st. Located within the city’s most ambitious new urban revitalization project, Centennial Yards, the hotel rises 18 floors and features 292 guest rooms, 15 suites and a penthouse, all offering sweeping floor to ceiling views, and is part of the esteemed Preferred Hotels Resorts L.V.X collection. With its modern industrial design and rich earth toned palette, Hotel Phoenix reflects the evolution of today's Atlanta with world class amenities, sophistication and style.

“Hotel Phoenix was designed to make every guest feel the spirit of Atlanta the moment they arrive,” said Gary Schweikert, Managing Director of CIM Group’s Hospitality Division. “From its warm, modern interiors to its vibrant dining and gathering spaces, the hotel celebrates the city’s creative energy and genuine sense of welcome.”

As one of the first completed projects to debut within the transformational city-center redevelopment, Hotel Phoenix stands as a bold symbol within the sprawling 50-acre district. "The opening of Hotel Phoenix is a pivotal moment for Centennial Yards and for Downtown Atlanta," said Brian McGowan, President of Centennial Yards Company. "It reflects our commitment to building a vibrant, inclusive district that brings people together; the hotel epitomizes the economic rising of Downtown Atlanta."

The property’s 292 guest rooms with 15 suites feature bespoke furnishings in rich verdant tones and warm earth accents. Ten-foot windows overlook Mercedes-Benz Stadium or Centennial Yards with guest room terraces available in certain guest rooms and suites. Hotel Phoenix’s themed mini-bar offerings highlight Atlanta’s Sister Cities international connections, with artisan chocolate from Brussels, Belgium, and snacks from Olympia, Greece, and Nuremberg, Germany, alongside a selection of local snacks and nostalgic favorites. Luxurious Bellino spa-style robes and linens and Byredo bath amenities provide a relaxing and indulgent retreat for rest and rejuvenation. For guests inspired by the athleticism of the surrounding arenas and stadiums, Hotel Phoenix offers an 1,828-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center. The property will officially debut it's resort-style terrace lounge, Bless Your Heart, outdoor pool and event lawn, The Green, at the start of the 2026 spring season.

With 15,000+ square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, including an 8,214-square-foot ballroom, Hotel Phoenix offers the ideal setting for corporate events, weddings, galas, and activations. State-of-the-art AV, flexible layouts, and expert on-site coordination ensure every gathering thrives with Atlanta’s signature energy at the core.

The exuberance and convivial spirit of the Jazz Age is woven into Hotel Phoenix’s signature dining concept, Zephyr, located just off the hotel lobby. Under the culinary guidance of consulting Chef Shaun Hergatt, Executive Chef Carelys Vazquez and Chef de Cuisine Jonathan Mailo bring deep experience in luxury hotels and Michelin-rated restaurants to create a dining experience that blends French influence with soulful Southern cooking. Highlights include Shrimp Biscuits with avocado and maple syrup; Spicy Fried Chicken with yellow stone ground grits, collard greens, house made pickled vegetables and Parker House rolls; and Endive Salad with smoked chicken, green apple and whole grain mustard. General Manager and mixologist Thandi Walton’s beverage program features an extensive domestic and international wine list with a special emphasis on Champagne, alongside spirited and zero-proof cocktails designed for both flavor and pairing versatility. Adjacent to the main dining room, an elegant private dining Parlor accommodates 10–12 guests, complete with audiovisual capabilities and a fireplace. Polished yet welcoming, Zephyr invites guests to savor the cuisine of the South in an atmosphere that feels timeless.  Zephyr will offer daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, with a leisurely weekend brunch menu available on Saturdays and Sundays.

At the heart of the action is Bar Z, an expansive bar within Zephyr offering an all-day experience and serving as a lively social incubator for both guests and locals. From early morning coffee rituals and grab-and-go pastries to small plates between meals and cocktails before or after concerts and sporting events.

To bring the Hotel Phoenix vision to life, the property’s architecture and interior design draws inspiration from the site’s historic rail system, blending an autumnal color palette that echoes the vibrant, shifting hues of Atlanta’s tree canopy. Suspended above the grand staircase in the lobby leading to the second-floor event spaces, Dutch artist Peter Gentenaar’s custom installation anchors the room with sculptural drama. Formed from handmade pulp paper reinforced by a bamboo framework, each piece takes shape through organic, undulating curves that convey movement and lightness. Art nouveau–inspired tile patterns, marble countertops, and glass pendant lighting add softness and warmth, balancing the space’s modern industrial edge while reflecting the surrounding historic architecture of downtown Atlanta’s civic and government landmarks.

The hotel’s art collection, curated by Matthew Whitaker, is a cornerstone of the property, serving as an emotional and human connection to the history and culture of the city via the lens of over 20 Atlanta-based and national artists. Highlights include a nine-panel, bent-neon installation by local artist Vyvyan Hughes, which reinterprets Southern quilting patterns, celebrating the connectedness of the region and generational ties. Stunning self-portraits of multidisciplinary artist and Atlanta native, Cosmo Whyte (Heirloom 3, Heirloom 3, and Heirloom 4) Anat Ebgi Gallery, feature the artist bedecked in layers of his late father’s neckties, serving as vessels of memory and identity. Hotel Phoenix will offer guests the opportunity to go behind-the-scenes to experience the collection with planned art tours, hosted guest artist features, and future temporary exhibitions.

“We’re proud to welcome guests to what we truly hope will become Atlanta’s favorite new hotel,” says Martin Wormull, General Manager of Hotel Phoenix. “Our team has worked tirelessly to create an experience that feels personal, inviting, and unmistakably connected to the city.”
