The Atlantic Companies Unveils Adaptive Reuse Vision for Prime Atlanta Beltline Site
Tuesday, February 17th, 2026
The Atlantic Companies is transforming the former Myers Carpet building at 1500 Northside Drive into a retail-anchored mixed-use destination situated directly on a critical segment of the Atlanta Beltline.
The 2.7-acre project serves as a vital link in the city’s Northwest corridor, providing essential trail connectivity between Northside Drive and Trabert Avenue while solidifying the Beltline’s route through one of its most complex corridors.
The adaptive reuse development builds upon the success of Monday Night Brewing’s flagship taproom, The Grove, which opened on the property in August 2025. Following that momentum, the new phase of construction will deliver a building comprised of 10,500 square feet of neighborhood-scale food and beverage and retail space, 7,000 square feet of high-impact showroom and 3,700 square feet of flexible office space. A central breezeway will bisect the building to provide direct Beltline access to retail storefronts and create a communal gathering space that improves overall site circulation.
“The initial response to the Grove has been incredible,” said Joel Iverson, Co-Founder and CEO of Monday Night Brewing. “Providing our customers a one-of-one gathering spot and expanded food and beverage offerings connected to our original location reflects just how far we’ve come over the last 20 years.”
The Atlantic Companies acquired the property in January 2023 and worked in close coordination with the Atlanta Beltline to integrate the trail through the site, a move that links Northside Drive to Howell Mill Road. This partnership highlights the project’s role within the larger 22-mile loop of trails and transit that has leveraged nearly $800 million in public investment into over $9 billion in economic development.
With the project’s formal announcement, pre-leasing is now underway. The Atlantic Companies has tapped Brittany McCall of SRS Real Estate Partners to lead the retail leasing and Paul Reese of Capital Real Estate Group to head office leasing. The development team consists of Gensler as architect, Kimley-Horn as civil engineer, Peter Constructive as general contractor and Westbridge as development consultant.
“We are excited to kick off this next phase of the re-imagined 1500 Northside Drive,” said Andy Johns, The Atlantic Companies. “Drawing inspiration from the strong response to The Grove, the project will create an approachable, neighborhood-scale retail experience along the Beltline to compliment the communal spirit spawned by Monday Night Brewing.”
Construction of the trail segment through the property has already been instrumental in the Beltline’s expansion, with further connections to Ardmore Park and English Street scheduled for completion between 2026 and 2027. The Atlantic Companies anticipates delivery of the adaptive reuse of 1500 Northside Drive by end of 2026.
